I Was Sound was recorded in 2007 mostly in my bedroom but also in a couple of other places such as the laundry and my girlfriend's parent's walk-in wardrobe.
I dismissed it as an awkward and juvenile effort. It is. However, as is the case with the passage of time, nostalgia makes its mark and transforms what is dull to what is dear. I am inclined to look upon the record as the more easy to be forgiven in its callow and unaffected impetuosity.
This doesn't alter the fact that I sing like a blundering amateur among a host of other flaws. Hopefully this proves to be inelegant rather than grating.
